Explore Disneyland Paris with Georgina and her WHILL C2
Wherever you look in the Disneyland Paris park, there is magic.
Georgina chose Disneyland Paris as the destination for a long-awaited family holiday. Alongside her sister and partner, who all share her love of Disney, this trip was their first official holiday together after enjoying several smaller trips over the years. “Where better than the most magical place?” Georgina says. “I think we were most excited about simply getting to experience everything together for the first time, as well as seeing the new additions to the Adventure World Park.”
Freedom to Travel
Travelling with her WHILL C gave Georgina the confidence and independence to enjoy every aspect of the trip. Having owned the chair for six years, it has become an essential part of her everyday life and a trusted travel companion.
Rather than flying, the group chose to travel by Eurostar before taking the RER train directly to Disneyland Paris. “I can be a little nervous about flying with my chair,” Georgina explains. The Eurostar and train journey worked really well and made travelling much less stressful, taking them directly into Disneyland Paris station.
Confidence, Whatever the Conditions
With thousands of steps covered each day, Disney parks are renowned for their long days and extensive walking. Europe had also been experiencing an intense summer heatwave, so we asked Georgina whether this presented any challenges for her and the WHILL Model C during the trip.
“Trips like this would be impossible if I didn’t have my WHILL,” Georgina says. “It handled the environment extremely well despite the severe weather and the amount of ground it had to cover.” Although she noticed the battery drained slightly faster than usual in the extreme temperatures, it was never a significant concern. The group returned to their hotel for a few hours each afternoon, giving both themselves and the wheelchair battery a chance to recharge before heading back into the parks.
Reflecting on previous holidays, Georgina recognises just how much of a difference powered mobility has made. “When I visited Disney World years ago, I was using a manual wheelchair. During this heatwave, it would have been impossible for someone to push me around all day. We were all so grateful that everyone could move independently and enjoy the holiday together.”
Built for Adventure
The practical features of the WHILL Model C also made navigating Disneyland Paris straightforward. Its compact design and excellent manoeuvrability allowed Georgina to move confidently through busy crowds, while its ability to switch quickly between powered and manual modes proved invaluable on attractions.
“Many rides don’t finish where they start, so Disney staff members were able to move the chair to meet me at the end of the ride,” she explains.
As Georgina explains, having the right support can make all the difference to experiences like this. Disneyland Paris has continued to strengthen its commitment to accessibility, introducing a range of new features designed to help more guests experience the magic in ways that work for them.
Experiencing the Magic, Together
On 3 December 2025, to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Disneyland Paris announced several new accessibility initiatives. The resort became the first theme park in Europe to introduce vibrating vests in its theatres, which support guests with hearing impairments to experience the emotion, intensity and rhythm of the music through vibration. Audio description services and tactile maps have also been introduced to support guests with visual impairments to explore the parks.
The Disneyland Railroad now features specially adapted carriages with a dedicated lift, enabling wheelchair users to board without transferring from their chair. In addition, designated areas have been created for guests with assistance dogs, allowing them to enjoy attractions while knowing their dogs are safe nearby.
Accessibility is also reflected in the park’s diverse workforce, with more than 15,000 employees at the park representing almost 100 nationalities and speaking a wide range of languages, helping guests from around the world feel understood, welcomed and supported throughout their visit.
Freedom to Explore
For anyone considering a WHILL Model C but wondering whether it can keep up with an active lifestyle, Georgina’s advice is clear.
“Go for it. It has genuinely been the best decision and the best purchase I’ve ever made. It has opened up a world that wasn’t possible before, and it’s the best travel companion.”
When asked about her favourite memory from Disneyland Paris, Georgina doesn’t hesitate.
“My favourite memory is simply being with two of my favourite people in one of my favourite places. From meeting characters to the rides, the sunsets and the fireworks, it was a beautiful trip.”
In the end, Georgina’s favourite memory wasn’t a particular ride or attraction. It was being able to experience it all with the people she loves, on her terms. With the support of her WHILL Model C and an increasingly accessible Disneyland Paris, Georgina was able to experience every moment with confidence, independence and without compromise – that’s the greatest magic.
