I attended a formal dinner this week at Gray’s Inn, which is another of the four Inns of Court that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. This dinner was a yearly event for the members of the bar who are employed (most barristers are self-employed). There were a number of senior QCs and Judges in attendance and it was an extremely enjoyable evening. I think it was the first time I’ve been in Gray’s for dinner in all the time I’ve been at the bar, so I’ve now completed the set!
I haven’t done too much else this week though as I’ve been quite busy with work, but I did manage to get most of my team out for after work drinks one evening, so things haven’t been too dull! It’s my birthday in a couple of weeks so I’ll make up the social life I’ve missed out on this week!
