Rebecca and the TGA WHILL visit Phoenix Gardens, London

Wheelchair in Phoenix Gardens

Friday, 13th October 2017

Hi everybody, I went with my friend Carl to the Phoenix Gardens this weekend.

This garden is open to the public and is the last surviving Covent Garden "bomb site" garden which was created after the bomb sites of the Second World War were finally cleared away in the 1970s. The garden has recently had a bit of a makeover and is a really nice place to sit and have your lunch away from the office sometimes.

There's a huge amount of wildlife living there too, which for central London makes a nice change! Afterwards we stopped in a nearby Swedish cafe for some amazing cinnamon and vanilla buns. They are so good, you need to try them, trust me!

I also attended a pub quiz with my team at work. Up until half time we were doing quite well as we were in third place but then we were pretty rubbish after that and got no points at all in the final round so we ended up second from last! Still, it was a fun evening anyway!
