The Outdoor Guide have just got back from having a fantastic time at the Destination Show, Olympia, London.
Countries from all around the world were represented at the show. It was an opportunity for visitors to find out about tourism and travels around the world. There was just so much to see. We had fun trying to get around the world in 80 minutes, by visiting as many countries as we could for a photoshoot!
Julia Bradbury, co- founder of TOG, joined us on Thursday and again on Saturday where she was ‘In Conversation’ with Julia Wheeler on The Stanford Writers Stage. She was there too to sign copies of her books and DVDs.
There were many other guest speakers at the show including Rick Stein, Michael Portillo and the producer of the incredible Blue Planet II. I was so lucky to have been introduced to Levison Wood the British explorer, writer and photographer whose work has featured around the world. He spoke about his latest adventures from Russia to Iran. A very interesting chap.
It has been a very busy but fun four days with the TOG team – Gina (MD of TOG), Holly (Content Director of TOG), Literary Student Jess, Writer Susan (from The Book Trail) and myself (accessTOG). We have really enjoyed meeting partners and friends of The Outdoor Guide.
Many people were keen to find out more about our wheel friendly walks that we promote on The Outdoor Guide and plenty more wanted to find out more about the TGA WHILL. The power chair really created a lot of interest.
