I’m just heading into my last few days at work before Christmas. I saw a word of the day on Twitter this morning: CHARETTE – the frantic, last minute period of work to beat a deadline. My life is one big charette at the moment. Everything suddenly needs doing and I have two and a half days left to do it in!
Oh well, that’s life I suppose. There’s always time to squeeze in a few Christmas parties at work though! So far I’ve had two. The first was an early finish team lunch in a restaurant by the river in Greenwich. The second was an evening event in a Docklands restaurant with a rooftop bar and a beautiful view of the London skyline.
Well as I’m fast running out of time to get everything done, I’m going to make this a short one. Merry Christmas everybody and a happy new year! I hope 2018 is a good one for you and yours!
