With the ability to turn forwards and sideways, WHILL M has the smallest feasible turning circle - enhanced by hi-tech controls and precision steering. It’s crash-tested design has just been approved for WAV transit when secured by Q’Straint QRT wheelchair tie-downs or a Q’Straint QLK150 docking station.
Use of belt-based QRT retractors, such as those found in the Ford Link converted by Sirus Automotive, is fast and straightforward. WHILL M includes highly visible securing points so tie-down hooks can be positioned quickly. If a more automated solution is preferred, WHILL M can be secured via a QLK150 which comprises of a locking collar mounted onto the vehicle floor. This docking station can be positioned for either a disabled driver or passenger and electrically engages with a protruding spigot on the underside of an adapted WHILL M. Once locked, the user is safe to drive yet can release their position instantly on arrival or in the event of an emergency.
