The Mobility Aids Centre, an award-winning TGA dealer based in Peterborough, has achieved its most successful year through the provision of quality TGA scooters, service excellence and charity support.

The Mobilty Aids Centre was established over 30 years ago and 14 staff operate from 15,000sqft premises. This respected business provides an independent living showroom, servicing department, warehouse and distribution facilities. It maintains a family-run approach that focuses on superior customer service, expert knowledge and high quality products – with a comprehensive range including scooters from the leading specialist, TGA. These mobility scooters have been instrumental in assisting the Mobility Aids Centre to grow significantly over the past 12 months resulting in its highest ever annual turnover.

Increasing numbers of people are seeking TGA scooters from this trusted dealer as they provide assured comfort, reliability and style. The Zest, Zest Plus and folding Minimo Plus 4 car boot scooters are particularly popular as more end users seek compact and transportable designs. The larger 8mph Breeze with unique hard-top canopy also achieves strong interest as it provides an all-weather solution. Through assessment-led provision, which ensures the right product is supplied to the right person, customers of the Mobility Aids Centre benefit from freedom to access the community with utmost safety and peace of mind.

Over and above its commercial activities, The Mobility Aids Centre takes its corporate social responsibilities seriously and supports the community through several charitable programmes. Jason Watling, Centre Manager, is Chairman of Disability Peterborough which is a Peterborough-based centre offering free advice for disabled people, their carers and families. The Mobility Aids Centre also provides this charity with office space, manpower and fundraising initiatives.

The Mobility Aids Centre has gained several business achievements over the last ten years which reiterates its impressive attitude and ethics. It achieved ISO 9001 accreditation in 1996, UK Retailer of the Year Award in 2005, ‘Highly Commended’ Motability status in 2017 and has been officially recognised as a Centre of Excellence and an Elite Retailer. Directors David and son Jason Watling have both received Civic Awards for their service to the community and have been nominated for the forthcoming AMP National Mobility Retailer Award. Hence, the combination of service excellence, charity support and considered selection of quality stock continues to underpin the company's success.

Jason Watling, Director, comments: "In terms of turnover, 2018 is predicted to be our most successful year ever. We are proud of this commercial milestone however the financial side of the business is not what drives us, we are passionate about helping people. To see the difference our quality products, such as TGA mobility scooters, make to the lives of individuals never fails to fill us with a sense of achievement. The dependability of TGA products means our customers have the confidence to venture out and experience more from life without the worry.”
