Lifestyle and Mobility, a TGA mobility scooter dealer with retail outlets in Potters Bar, Basildon, Southend-on-Sea and Bournemouth, has won the coveted TGA Dealer of the Quarter Award for the second time.
Lifestyle and Mobility is a family-run mobility product specialist that has been trading since 2002. In recent years it has refocused its business to sell a selected range of quality scooters such as those from TGA. This strategy has delivered better commercial efficiencies and an improved customer experience – ultimately enhancing Lifestyle and Mobility’s reputation and business growth.
During the second quarter of 2018, the business achieved significant success in supplying TGA scooters, particularly the folding Minimo Plus 4 and 8mph Breeze S4. Enhanced by impeccable customer service, this outstanding sales performance has resulted in the business being awarded TGA Dealer of the Quarter.
Darren Macey, Business Development Manager, Lifestyle and Mobility, comments: “Following our first win in 2017, we are delighted to have won this second TGA trade award. We attribute a large percentage of our success to the quality of TGA products. The Minimo Plus 4 has been a real game changer for us with its extra stability – it’s exactly what customers are looking for in a car boot scooter. Your average 60-year-old who lives in and around Southend-on-Sea now wants a scooter with contemporary styling and high specification. By stocking several TGA models we give locals the chance to look and feel good, whatever their mobility needs.”
Darren adds: “Our business continues to grow through stocking of attractive scooters that are not old fashioned or ‘gloomy’. For example, the white TGA Minimo is really eye catching and has a buzzy feel when you drive it. Strong Motability orders have also strengthened our performance, especially by attending their One Big Day events with TGA. Our focus on prescriptive selling ie. fully assessing customer needs so they always buy exactly the right scooter, is a major factor in our success along with the servicing aspect of our business. We provide the complete package so customers have peace of mind. Lifestyle and Mobility’s team is now 21 strong and continues to expand… we have just taken on two apprentices as we believe young blood is vital for long term achievement. There are other mobility stores closing however we believe this is not due to widespread high street challenges, but the wrong strategy and ethos. Our business and other dealers who are 100% committed to quality products and service, continue to prove you can thrive on the high street.”
