A rundown of charities which may be able to help you with subsidising the purchase of a mobility scooter and other disability equipment.

  • Caudwell Children

    Will fund powered wheelchairs for children under 18 years of age at the time of application, providing that the household annual income is under £45,000.

  • Family Fund

    Will contribute towards the purchase of mobility equipment for children and young adults.

  • Boparan Charitable Trust

    Will fund mobility equipment for young people or may contribute if equipment cost is too high.

  • Fashion and Textile Children’s Trust

    Contributes towards the funding of equipment for the children of people who are working in or have previously worked in the fashion or textile industries.

  • Newlife, the charity for disabled children

    Will contribute towards equipment for children.

  • Access to work

    Can give support to people, 16 years old or over, who are at work or about to start a job, in England, Wales or Scotland, subject to meeting criteria. Support doesn’t affect other benefits.
