TGA, the UK's leading mobility scooter and wheelchair specialist, has experienced a rewarding 2016 Mobility Roadshow by showcasing popular new products, running a competition and welcoming Invictus Games Athlete Lamin Manneh on stand H2-54. (Silverstone Circuit, 26-28th May 2016).
With its engineering and motorsport heritage dating back over 30 years, TGA was delighted to showcase its complete scooter, wheelchair and wheelchair powerpack range at Silverstone. TGA debuted its latest folding Maximo mobility scooter, new StrongBack wheelchair, forthcoming re-styled Breeze S4 and unveiled a state-of-the-art powered 'Whill' wheelchair which maybe launched later in the year. These innovations were complemented by the complete award-winning TGA product range, which attracted the attention of Roadshow's VIP guest and event opener Lamin Manneh. Lamin is a disabled war hero who was the star of the DIY-SOS 'Homes for Veteran's Special' and has recently won two bronze medals at the Invictus Games in Orlando Florida. The Invictus Games is a Paralympic-style event for injured servicemen and woman '" Lamin was proud to ride a TGA Breeze S4 at the show whilst wearing his UK team strip and medals.
Daniel Stone, TGA Managing Director commented: 'We were delighted to welcome Lamin onto our stand to hear about his experiences at the Invictus Games and what he thought about our products. As a brand new visitor to a mobility show, it was important to gain feedback from him regarding existing, new and potential TGA products. The re-styled Breeze S4, which was seen for the first time in the UK at Silverstone, was deemed 'very comfortable and stable' and the 'Whill' powerchair delivered a real wow factor for him. The Whill was on show so that we could gain invaluable feedback from visitors in terms of its design with a view to possibly launching it later in the year. As ever, we always listen to the views of potential users before introducing a new product so that performance, comfort, safety and peace of mind is maximized for all.'
The Mobility Roadshow once again provided an invaluable opportunity for people living with restricted mobility to test, trial and compare the complete TGA range all in one location. There was also the opportunity to win a recently introduced StrongBack wheelchair, which is already building significant popularity thanks to its ergonomic curved backrest. The larger folding Maximo mobility scooter with improved tiller and seat also pulled large numbers of visitors onto the TGA stand '" all keen to see how it can combine advanced transportability with spacious comfort. The opportunity to try the Maximo's smaller sister models, the compact Minimo and Minimo Plus was also of major relevance at the Roadshow as these scooters are ideal for transporting in accessible vehicles or standard car boots.
