TGA Mobility Strengthens Customer Service With Multiple BTEC Diplomas

3rd May, 2018

TGA, the UK-leading mobility scooter specialist with a mobility showroom in Sudbury, continues to enhance its customer service thanks to four staff members achieving new BTEC qualifications.

TGA has been a caring, family-run business based in Suffolk since 1985. Its employees take pride in providing independence to people with restricted mobility through quality products and service. Part of TGA’s mission to continually improve service involves in-house training and external education. Hence four team members have just successfully achieved new BTEC Diplomas following 18 months of intensive studying outside of working hours. These new skills have already improved ordering processes so TGA customers experience a better service.

Educated by West Suffolk College, the newly qualified staff are:

  • Sarah Mead, Customer Services Manager –
Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Management (QCF) (Sept 2014)
  • Julie Stokes, Trade Area Sales Manager and National Co-ordinator–
Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Management (QCF) (Sept 2014)
  • Kim Cook, Motability Specialist –
Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service (QCF) (Feb 2015)
  • Tyler Doughty, Customer Service Team Leader –
Pearson BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading (QCF) (Sept 2014)

Daniel Stone, TGA Managing Director comments: “I would like to congratulate all the TGA members who have recently gained new qualifications – it is a commendable effort bearing in mind how hard they work during office hours. With their new management and service skills I feel confident that our offering to customers will be even stronger. Thank you to West Suffolk College for providing such an effective and rewarding educational programme. This latest achievement by our staff reiterates TGA’s commitment to nurturing employees so they fulfil their maximum potential and gain real job satisfaction.”

Matthew Rawlings, West Suffolk College Tutor adds: “It was a delight to teach the managers from TGA Mobility, they were all so enthusiastic and excelled in every aspect of the coursework. Julie and Sarah deserve a special commendation for sitting Functional Skills Level 2 prior to the course so their O-Level qualifications were bought up-to-date. Whether you are fresh out of academia or a mature student, studying new skills is such a gratifying experience and adds value to yourself and any employer. TGA is clearly a business that encourages its employees to grow and develop whilst seeing a tangible advantage to its customers. I do hope the managers take up my offer to learn at the next level, as they all have the ability to progress even further with their professional development.”
