TGA has successfully launched the new folding Maximo mobility scooter at Naidex National and received its first order within minutes of the show opening (28-30th April, NEC, Stand B70).
The Maximo is a new 4mph, folding scooter that builds on the popularity of its smaller predecessor - the TGA Minimo. This latest model from TGA combines an enhanced driving experience with market-leading transportability through the inclusion of several additional features. These include active suspension, pneumatic tyres, larger chassis, new adjustable armrests and TGA's ultra-lightweight lithium battery as standard. Like the Minimo, the Maximo can be folded into a compact size with a single, one-handed operation and requires no parts to be dismantled for storage. Fitting easily in the boot of most hatch backs, estate cars or 4x4's, the pioneering Maximo now incorporates comfort levels normally only associated with larger scooters in a folding, 'car boot' model. The benefits of this new design were immediately recognised by a customer visiting Naidex, who ordered the first Maximo only a few minutes after Naidex had opened.
Daniel Stone, TGA Managing Director comments: "We were delighted to receive our first Naidex order for a Maximo so early in the show. As soon as the doors opened, our exhibition team was approached by many visitors regarding the Maximo. We achieved the first sale by 10:10am that set a precedent of popularity throughout the exhibition. We clearly identified a need for folding scooters a few years ago and hence launched the revolutionary Minimo in 2013. This trend has continued along with the requirement for greater choice therefore launching the larger Maximo was a logical step for us. With interest in the Maximo high at Naidex, we have even greater confidence that this new pioneering scooter will improve the lives of many people across the UK living with restricted mobility. We look forward to showcasing the Maximo once more at the forthcoming Mobility Roadshow in June."
Alongside the Maximo launch, TGA showcased its complete range of scooters and wheelchair powerpacks at Naidex National. The recently introduced Minimo Plus, again from TGA's folding 'car boot' class, was demonstrated regularly throughout Naidex along with the benefits of TGA puncture sealant. Visitors to stand B70 were also keen to meet the inspirational disabled war veteran Andy McIntosh. Andy McIntosh appeared at Naidex as TGA is supporting him during his charity World Record challenge in May 2015. He is attempting to drive a TGA Breeze mobility scooter 1,000 miles in the fastest time ever from John O'Groats to Land's End over a period of 16 days.
