TGA Mobility, the leading local mobility product specialist, is sponsoring a Christmas fundraising event in aid of Sudbury's Hillside Special School and Spinal Research.
This event is being organised by Vivienne Proctor, a teacher at Hillside, so that funds can be raised for a new outdoor nursery area at the school and to assist the charity Spinal Research. Hillside is an all-age community special school for pupils with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties. The committed teaching staff focus on providing a stimulating, happy and supportive environment in which every child can lead as full and independent life as possible.
TGA regularly supports good causes and as its products help locals regain independence, sponsoring Hillside School was a perfect fit in terms of its corporate social responsibility. Celebrating its 30th birthday this year, Sudbury's TGA is trusted nationwide to provide quality and reliable mobility scooters, wheelchairs and other aids for daily living. To ensure Hillside's varied curriculum and off-site activities can continue, TGA has donated to the school so Viv can host:
The Hillside Special School Christmas Charity Hog Roast sponsored by TGA.
Friday 4th December, 7:30pm till late. Sudbury Rugby Club.

Daniel Stone, TGA Managing Director said: "We are delighted to be sponsoring Viv's Christmas fundraiser for Hillside Special School and Spinal Research. Several members of the TGA showroom team have visited the school and were very impressed with the staff ethos and positive atmosphere. As we supply life-changing mobility products, we fully understand the challenges of living with a disability and hence admire the achievements of all the pupils and staff at Hillside. The teaching team is caring and fully committed to ensuring every pupil reaches his or her full potential. We would encourage everyone locally to purchase a ticket for this Charity Hog Roast, thereby supporting such a local worthwhile cause and treating themselves to a fun and enjoyable night out."
Vivienne Proctor, Hillside Teacher added: "I would like to thank TGA Mobility for their generous donation. It will allow me to host this Christmas Hog Roast so funds can be raised to help Spinal Research and to ensure Hillside Special school continues to deliver the very best care and education. I have taught at Hillside for over eight years and find the experience so rewarding on a daily basis. Despite not being a 'runner' and currently breaking my collarbone during training, I will be attempting the London Marathon next year to hopefully raise an extra 3000 so that our nursery children can benefit from a more stimulating experience outdoors. My recent injury as made me even more determined to sell as many tickets as possible so please book when you can!"
