The new folding Maximo from TGA, the UK's leading mobility scooter specialist, is to make its Mobility Roadshow debut at the 2015 event (25-27th June, Donington Park, Stand TD04a).
For 30 years TGA has developed and introduced pioneering products to ensure personal mobility with peace of mind. The recently launched 4mph Maximo reiterates this level of innovation and will be available for trials in the Mobility Roadshow scooter test-drive zone - sponsored this year by TGA. The 4-wheel Maximo provides a larger version of the best-selling folding Minimo and delivers an enhanced driving experience.
The feature-rich Maximo is the larger version of the lightweight Minimo that has been hugely popular across the UK since launch in 2013. This family of folding mobility scooters, which also includes the Minimo Plus, combines the highest levels of transportability, flexibility and comfort in the 'car boot' class. They are ideal for storage in a car boot or for transit on public transport, including buses, trains and planes. Their lightweight and highly manuovrable design ensures ease of use in urban environments or restricted indoors spaces. Owners can now benefit from independent mobility both locally and further field, with peace of mind and maximium safety, thanks to these cutting-edge TGA scooters.
The Maximo can be folded effortlessly in one simple, single movement and requires no parts to be dismantled for storage. Despite its wider and longer chassis, 580 x 1160mm respectively, the Maximo can be easily stored in the boot of a hatch back, estate car or 4x4. The Maximo 'ride' is one of the smoothest and most stable available through active suspension and pneumatic tyres. It also incorporates the TGA ultra-lightweight lithium battery as standard that can literally be lifted with one finger - a true innovation to ensure strain-free lifting. Off-board battery charging is easy as no wires or plugs need to be disconnected, the pack just slots on and off. To enhance performance the Maximo also has an upgraded motor and controller that both provide an effortless drive. The Maximo can reach a distance of up to 12.5 miles (20km) on a single charge and carry a user weighing up to 21 stone (133kg) in total comfort. Safety is enhanced with anti-tip castors and high visibility LED lights.
Daniel Stone, TGA Managing Director comments: "We are delighted that the Mobility Roadshow is back at Donington Park as it was always such a popular and accessible venue for the event. The TGA team anticipates a busy show as we will have our complete range of award-winning scooters and wheelchair powerpacks on display. The new Maximo promises to be the highlight of our showcase however we look forward to delivering the 'scooter test-drive' zone this year. This area will provide a controlled and spacious environment for us to raise awareness regarding safe scooter driving - a essential part of our everyday services to TGA and non-TGA customers."
