We are delighted to announce that Michael Matthews, 67 from Great Cornard and a retired Naval Petty Officer, has won our Christmas competition.
Michael received the news that he had won a luxurious Christmas Hamper just before the festive break courtesy of TGA. The competition to win a 'John Lewis Winter Warmer Hamper' was open to all customers who visited the showroom and entered online and Michael was selected at random by TGA Retail Manager, Rachel Elding.
Originally born in Sudbury, Michael served in the Royal Navy for 25 years and experienced duties in the Far East, on the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. He held the rank of Petty Officer and was responsible for duties on a variety of warships ranging from Minesweepers through to Frigates, Destroyers and the aircraft carrier, HMS Eagle.
On winning the TGA Christmas competition, Michael commented: "I was over the moon to hear the news that I had won the TGA Hamper, especially as I very rarely win anything! It has perfectly complemented our festive food and my grandchildren really enjoyed helping out with the sweeter things in the hamper. I would like to thank TGA for this great prize and for being supportive over the years. I have been so happy with the independence the TGA Superlight RWD and Eclipse car boot mobility scooters have given me."
Rachel Elding concluded: "Well done to Michael, he fully deserves this prize as such a nice individual. Michael has been one of our valued customers since 2007 and it's great to hear about the freedom his Eclipse delivers. As with many of our other customers, Michael chooses the Eclipse as it dismantles into four, easy-to-lift parts that fit in the boot of a car."
