Anyone who buys a mobility scooter must be aware that any vehicle sold in the U.K. which has the capacity to go faster than 8mph is not legal under the Road Traffic Act 1988. TGA takes its responsibility to end users very seriously and that is why you will not find a scooter capable of a higher speed bearing the TGA logo. Another point worth bearing in mind - if you bought a 10mph scooter which was then involved in an accident, you could be liable!
